First Beaded Doll
« on: May 12, 2009, 04:58:15 PM »
Since you liked my symbolism doll, I thought I would show you my very first beaded doll.  It was made for a challenge for my Yahoo Group, Beaded Art Dolls.  The challenge was to make a doll to represent the movie, Arsenic and Old Lace. Her name is Prudomily and she took second place.

Jeanne, She is beautiful! I can't imagine how much time you spent on the beadwork. Great job!

Thanks, everyone.  She didn't take more than a month to bead.  The hardest part was her face.  I hadn't made a nylon face in years.

Very nice!  I like how you didn't use one of the standard poly-clay faces.

Wow If Prudomily took 2nd I wonder what 1st looked like - because I think she is incredible!   I just love the details in the bead work, and that little head piece - she's awesome Jeanne.

mmmm I don't think I have ever made a nylon face - maybe some day........................
She is so cool!

Thanks, Kris.  I was doing a green craft, before anyone heard of green.   ;D I used to make santa heads with nylon faces.  Tiny pins, but I made a couple of huge heads that just sit around.  I learned how to do this in college.   ;D
