Shirt Revamping Contest!!

Hey guys!! SO sorry you've been waiting all day for my horrible entry!! My baby is getting her molars in and has been crying all day long. Makes it hard to get anything done. :'(

Anywys, darn, I was hoping our short extension would encourage lurkers to come out of the shadows and post their last-minute entries!!

Oh well, here's my anticlimactic entry. I started with a nursing shirt that was functional, but not very feminine. Nursing shirts are great to work with because you almost get two shirts in one--except the bottom layer shirt has gaping holes in the sides.

I decided to deconstruct it and reconstruct it as a nightie. As you can see, it's not too spectacular, but it's really only about half done. I'm getting more into the project than I thought I would, so I'm trying to decide what details to add...flowers? Lace? Ruching? We'll see! So it's not 100% finished, but there ya have it. Where it's at now is pretty much all I was planning to do with it, which is why I'm even bothering to enter it, but hopefully within a month or two I can make it prettier.


I'm saving the sleeves for the winter as arm warmers, and still have extra fabric to play around with.

The link is the same. You are seeing the results because you already voted. They should have the ability to vote. Let me know if you have a problem.

My friends are having the same issue, and so is Eric when I gave him the link in gchat.  I think somehow our computers are forwarding OUR versions of the links, which now point to the totals page, not the voting page.

I tried telling E to go to handmadeartistsforum.com and just do it that way, and the most recent post he's seeing is July 21.  I had the same issue with it when I looked last night.

By the way, E is at work, so he's using a different IP address.

And this time when I gave him the link to the blog as a whole, it was updated from July, but was the results page.
