Calling all Glue Experts
JewelrybyNaLa:
Aleen's definitely does know glue! I'll keep that one in mind if I have the same problem with my double bottle 2 part that Aimee had with hers ... thanks Jan ;)
JewelrybyNaLa:
Okee dokee, it's onto another glue for me!
Next time I'll be trying some of the glues that have been mentioned here, because that dual tube two part epoxy is only good for one use or two uses like Aimee said. More importantly, it was extremely hard for me to use. My husband had no trouble holding and using the extra long syringe, however.
Apparently, dual tube epoxy manufacturers are misogynists. ::) ;D

Flatbacks will work, but ideally, you should use the pointy backed stones. That gets tricky too, trying to get the right size so it isn't TOO big, and sets up out of the setting. If they only made a mm tool for measuring stuff like that...sigh... ::)
JewelrybyNaLa:
I filled the space up with the epoxy and set the rhinestone on it. I think there was good surface contact with the glue, so hopefully it will hold.
I pushed and pulled a bit on the stone after the glue was set, and it didn't move, but then my husband came in and started picking at it with his fingernail. It still didn't move, but I made him stop doing that. It was makin' me nervous ... ???

Love the vision of hubby picking at it as you stand behind and bite your fingers.
