Working Compass Charm
« on: May 12, 2009, 11:59:24 AM »
I've had this one for awhile, it seems to be my very best seller. This is a working compass charm wrapped in sterling silver. Great for graduation gifts or to just help people find their way in life and on the road :)

*I was having issues uploading the pictures. Click on the links below to go to my site. Thanks all!!

Where did you find the compass?  Where did you get the idea for the Victorian portion of the one compass?  Inquiring minds want to know.

I like the second one the best but they are all cute.  Where did you find those?

I actually sourced out the compass overseas. I am VERY much into the vintage scrolls, like my heart vinaigrette :) Just that look appeals to me so much. I also like the modern style which is more of the grunge look. It has the old style vintage swirls with a more modern twist. It gets my imagination going :)

Okay, I have to ask.  Is anything you make actually handmade?  I have seen so much of what you have on your site in other places.

Fashionjunkie4life your work is great I just sort of agree with Jeanne if this is not handmade by you please do not post it. If there are items that your personally make you are more than welcome to post it here. If these are resale items as they seam to be, please correct me if I'm wrong, although pretty they are not handmade by you as you say they are outsourced.
All your posts on the forum have been very polite and we want your participation but please only post your handmade items.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi! Oh no, my stuff is handmade! Please don't get me wrong, I am not here to advertise anyone else work!!

I own the company that makes all this stuff and we have been in business for many years. We acutally sell to retail stores and online retailers for wholesale. We cater to a lot of mom and pop shops. We just, acutally me, started our own retail store online to get our stuff out there more. This big drop in the economy really hurt us so we are trying to get our designs out there! A lot of the mom and pop shops are going out of business. :(

Me and my mother-in-law come up with the designs and a lot of the stuff we put together ourselves. We have a one little room warehouse/office where we come up with our ideas and anything that comes pre-made like the compasses (because I have NO idea how to make them :) ), we have a friend who live overseas who source those pieces out for us and we incorporate them into our design here in our office. I do have some stuff on my website that's my friends, she does a lot of handmade jewelry as well, sterling silver also, so I am trying to advertise her stuff as well.

Right now we are in the process of coming up with some more compass designs. If any of you have any ideas, I would love your ideas. We are planning on coming out with 2-3 new designs, vintage style.

We have been stuck at a brick wall with our designs recently, NEED MOTIVATION! :)

I really hope this clears it up! If you still feel that you do not want me to post, please let me know! I mean no harm, everything I post is truly 100% our designs and anyone else that sells it on the internet buys it from us.

I really do appreciate you guy watching out and making sure that everyone who posts is really honest and true.

Thanks!

Sorry for the implication just wanted to make sure you know where we are coming from. when I make a piece there is one some of them I can't even replicate because of the nature of the piece. Just keep in mind we are interested in your creations. Your friend who you are supporting is more than welcome to participate here also. So post away just make sure it's your creations. Thanks

Defiantly, I will always post my stuff. I am very sorry for the misunderstanding, I should have been clear in the beginning. Our wholesale site is www.reocompany.com and www.fashionjunkie4life.com is my retail site. Same stuff, 1 company :)

Thanks!

I have another question.  Sorry.  You design the things that are sold through the company you just gave the link to. Right?  But, is any of the stuff you design handmade or is it mass produced?
