Wedding Welcome Board
« on: May 07, 2010, 12:22:22 PM »
I made this welcome board for my best friend's wedding!
I have a question...are welcome boards common at wedding receptions in you country??
It's very common in Japan though...

I can't honestly say I know a thing about common wedding occurrences here in the US but that is an AWESOME board!!!  If they aren't common, perhaps your fabulous artwork will make it so!

Oh yes, Kazumi, formal weddings in the U.S. have these sorts of welcome boards, but they're usually made by the banquet hall, and they're usually nowhere near as fancy and artistic as yours.

I think you might have an idea here that would really go over well with U.S. brides!

I work with a lot of high end brides and I really think you have hit on something they would love!  These brides want everything unique and custom to them and the banquet provided boards are all pretty generic...yours would be special!

I believe I know of someone else who would be great at this ...  ;)

You're from Japan? Sugoi!!  ^-^

That's a cute welcome board!! Americans usually only have guestbooks, or a sign pointing to where the wedding or reception is. Nothing that fancy. :) I think it would definitely catch on here!

Its very pretty board. I loved it. As this a thread have explored many idea for making advanced and unique wedding boards. I would suggest some of my views. I would say to decorate this which should give wonderful board in colored water of swimming pool in the entrance of the party. Also natural flowers are used. Also the shinning substance like glittery stones or beads will give very unique looks.

If I'd known you then, I'd have commissioned one of these for my wedding, definitely.  It's great!
