Clockwork Orange Book Art
« on: March 08, 2010, 10:06:54 AM »
I am having so much fun hacking up all my old books...if I don't sell them I will be able to fill a library wall!  This one is a bit bigger (6x8) so that the clock face would fit.  It is made from Clockwork Orange and a bunch of parts out of an old clock that Andrew and I got at a yard sale last year.  The clock had been in a fire and the case was destroyed...but it was a treasure trove of cool parts inside!  I've started listing them in the HAFshop, so we will see what happens..though in a weird way I am sort of sorry to think of them leaving.

Love that!  And you've got a "Steampunk" tag on that one, right?

A Clockwork Orange, huh? Now there's a blast from the past!

I'm truly impressed with what you're doing with your books, Kim, and this latest creation could be my favorite one yet. Who would think such a beautiful thing could be made using something that had been resurrected from a fire??

I love the way you've put the whole thing together--it's just beautiful.  :)

LOL I have a huge stack of those loved  :-\ books from your youth!  Poor Andrew, he has learned one of the joys of living with a lit major is drowning in a sea of books he was forced to read in school.

Thanks for the compliments!  This one is definitely my favorite so far...well with the exception of the one I am now working on!

The fact that I am understanding some of you is actually starting to scare me just a bit!  :o
