Changing Our Etsy Banner
« on: January 28, 2010, 02:35:23 PM »
I just made a new Etsy banner for our store copperkiwicreations.etsy.com

I think I like it better, but I am still kind of fond of the old one. The old one seems a little more flashy and interesting, but I think the new one seems more professional and simplistic.

So what do you guys think? Should I go ahead with the new one?

NEW

OLD

I'm not sure...I like the versatility of the old one but the clean lines of the new.  Maybe you could incorporate Kiwi into the old one?  I know, I'm not much help am I  :-\

Thanks for the input you guys! I agree that they both have good aspects, and the old one shows more of what I offer. However, now I'm actually considering selling the paper flowers in my other Etsy store. I feel like right now this store is a little odd having my clay things and paper flowers. My other store is all printables, but I would like it to maybe work towards being a party, wedding, special event type of store with invitations and such...so the flowers may fit in better there even though they are not printables, but actually shipped items.

Well anyway, Looks like I have to do some thinking and try and get my stores sorted out. Thanks for letting me ramble here!

And thanks to both of you for your opinions!!

Why not throw your new copper Kiwi over the shadow Kiwi and "kill" two birds with one stone?

Man, bein' an animal lover, I hate the phrase kill two birds with one stone ... I'm changing it to ... damn, I can't think of another phrase that fits.  ???

That is an idea to think about NaLa. Perhaps I'll play around with that. Haha, and I can't think of new phrase either! I though about it for a few minutes, and I don't know if there is one to replace it. I guess you would have to just make a new one  ;)

And thank you for the comment on our site by the way! Very nice of you  :D
I'm going to post it right now!

OK so I took your advice NaLa. Since it seems everyone still liked the old banner, but I really like my little kiwi bird, I made a combination of the two. I didn't add any paper flowers since I will probably be moving them to my other shop sometime.

So this is how it turned out...

I think I'm happy with it. ^-^

Love both banners and the new final one!  But where is the Kiwi on your shop?  I like him!

Yay I'm glad you guys like my final banner!

Haha and as for the kiwi, I don't know if I can part with him right now! But I am considering making another, or maybe a few more. I guess if I were to get any inquiries I could make some more of him.

Yay, I like the new banner!! It incorporates both banners into one, and looks great! :-*

Hmm, rather than kill two birds with one stone, maybe feed two birds with one piece of bread? :P Hehe

Oh Kelli, the new banner looks fantastic! The photos of your clay creations are so colorful and beautiful, I don't think you could come up with a better advertisement for your shop, and your kiwi fits in perfectly! Very nice!  :)

PleasantPeasantry: Haha I like that saying! It's cute :) And thanks, I'm glad you like it!

And thank you NaLa! It was a great suggestion to combine the two, and I'm not sure I would have thought to mess around with it some more if you hadn't mentioned it! So thank you for the good idea  :D
