Hi All,
When I saw the hand on the other site I never in a million thought it would cause such a hot topic. I was worried about copy right laws etc.  (I am a worry wart)  But what I see is a loving group of people who want this to work. There have been hours and hours of free advice, free promotions, etc etc etc.  We are a group that cares.  I so appreciate all of you.  And I so appreciate our talented graphic designers.

Keep in mind guys that this logo is not just for the team.  We can change the wording and use it to brand the site as a whole as well....keep it uniform....so think big!

Miss Nicola,
Thank you so much for putting in the time, effort, and expertise on this!

Here are my thoughts - don't shoot me!
I love *parts* of both designs!

The 'mechanical' banner and photo size are really appealing for the same reasons you state - they look dead-on professional! But I don't care for how the design crop in the badge and avatar sizes - this is where it gets a little 'corporate' feeling.
These are also the two sizes I'm more likely to use in different places, so that is why I'm focused there.

The organic set is exactly reversed for me, LOL LOOOOVEEE the avatar and badge sizes! But in the larger pieces the multiple darker stamped hands create a muddy feel, not a warm feel, and from a design standpoint, the negative space between the hearts and the multiples is too much - it isn't cohesive like the mechanical set.

Maybe that is why you prefer the 'mechanical set?

Just a thought, Thanks again!!!!!

I love the handprint one, and this is why. I feel it better represents (out of the two) the handmade ideal. The mechanical one makes me think of some big corp. Being real artists, who really handmake our items, the 2nd option just feels more real.

For my 2 cents... I'll agree with this comment!  Handmade = HAND made

Yay! Congratulations Ambient girl! Your preferred banner won hands down ;D
Now that the team has voted I hope everyone takes the opportunity to use the banner and badges. I wanna put it on my zibbet page, is that allowed?

You can put it where ever you want, it's up to you.

Ambient is going to put up the badges in couple days in a thread where everyone can grab them. Once they are posted I will put them somewhere where people can grab the code also.

I really like the organic nature of the handprint as opposed to the more mechanical hand.  I think the organic hand more closely reflects the nature of our hand-made products.  I can hardly wait until these are ready for us to use in our shops and on our blogs.
