I like it.  Did take a couple of seconds to figure out it was one of the big cats though.

The contrast is very nice. What size are mini MOO cards and would the font on the left size be hard to read if they were very small? If it is, might be good to just have the font on the left size more readable and then your style font on the right where it is nice and big.

I use mini cards, they are great and quite narrow, you will most likely need to reformat your design to fit it onto the card for best affect, maybe even use a part of the cat, so its more abstract. You can mess around with it on moo before you commit.

well it fit on the moo website, I just made it big, because when I made them the exact size called for it was losing to much resolution. Hmmm, I'm wondering if I should Change the font on the left to be more legible.

If it were mine, I wouldn't change the font, I can read it perfectly and it looks great. I, too, like the stark contrast.

It's definitely not a readability problem on screen here but my concern was more when it got printed out on the mini moo cards.

Screen resolution is typically 72-96 dots per inch and for crisp printing it should start at 300 dots per inch so when you do print work from graphics created for the web, it can look extra fuzzy.  :-[

Do they give you an option to do a print preview or something? You could test it out on your printer and just eyeball it.

I don't think they have a print preview but maybe I can resize it and print it on my own and see how that looks? Maybe if i preview it in my paintshop pro where i made it?

Might be worth it especially if you are unsure what resolution your submitted file is (I'm guessing you can set that when you create a file in paintshop pro?).

The first set of mini moo cards I made I used photos that were web optimized and they came out a bit fuzzy. No text so it wasn't a huge deal, just not as crisp as anticipated and I felt like a dummy since I deal with issues like that in my day job...

I do like the grafics on your cards..... but I would put a phone # on there too since there are still dinosaurs out there who are scared of the internet :(

The font on my moo cards is small and clear and easily readable so you'll probably be ok, but maybe you could contact them for a test/sample?

I tried printing it at home in the same size moo uses and it's not as small as thought it would be. It's legible and easy to read.
Thanks guys.

Love the design. I have a question sort of on/off topic... do you find that MOO cards are more acceptable to the standard business card for us artsy folks (I know they are shaped different so that could be a plus or minus)? Do you have an opinion on the cost difference between Moo's and professionally printed business cards? (OK, two questions)

I think you typed the wrong Chinese character. "Tiger" should be written as "虎" in Chinese.

That's because I'm not using chinese I'm using the japanese word tora and a kanji  ;)

The main thing I like about MOO cards is that the back of each card can be different. A lot of people I give them to like that there's different pieces of my work pictured on each card.
