(PLEASE READ) Handmade Artists' Forum Outreach List
« on: October 05, 2009, 08:02:34 PM »
I'm posting this for the benefit of our new members as well as our old members. Most of you know that this forum was created for Handmade Artists to come together and form a community of sharing, it was also created so our members will have various outlets to help promote their shops and increase their sales.

Since I haven't been able to devote as much time as I would like to towards the continued development of this forum, I figured I would try to post a list so that all our members would be aware of our various outreach efforts that help support the forum and all our various shops.

So here goes, now if I forget something please add it, also if you are doing solo things to help support the forum and our members please post it here so that we may help support your efforts.

1) If your wandering what the ads on the left are go here http://handmadeartistsforum.com/forum/index.php/topic,202.0.html they're free. So read up and get your ad in the loop.

2) Pinterest https://pinterest.com/hafshop/

3) Our facebook outreach is here https://www.facebook.com/handmadeartistsforum and https://www.facebook.com/HAFshop

4) Our Flicker outreach is here http://www.flickr.com/groups/handmadeartistsforum/ these pics are rotated in the blogs gallery and I believe on our facebook page.

5) Our blog is here http://handmadeartists.com/blog , we are always looking for articles! To be a contributor you can read more here http://handmadeartists.com/forum/index.php/topic,6469.0.html

6) HAF on LinkedIn

7) HAF on Indiepublic

 8) Our MySpace outreach is here http://www.myspace.com/etsy_hafteam

9) Handmade Artist forum Twitter Outreach is here http://twitter.com/HandmadeForum

10) Our HAFshop twitter Outreach is here https://twitter.com/HAFshop

11) If your interested in the ads on the right side go here http://www.projectwonderful.com/advertisehere.php?id=36115&type=4 these are paid ads which are also on the blog as well as http://makinthebestofit.com/ and http://chainmaillebymboi.com/

12) Also grabbing our badge from http://handmadeartists.com/blog/grab-our-badge/ is an outreach for the forum and shop as it helps promote the forum as well everyone's work

13) Last but not least the most important outreach we have is our members, so invite a fellow Handmade Artist to join the fun.

I think that's it, like I said earlier please add whatever I missed and also don't hesitate adding your own personal outreach efforts that pertain to our HAF community.

As I've stated in various threads helping and promoting each other is also helping you. This movement is very altruistic, so lets keep it supportive and positive.

Hope this list helps all.
Thanks for everyone's support in growing our young community.

Andrew - thanks for putting all the links in one place.

I do have a question - I noticed there is a link for a paid subscription - I may have missed any posting about that - do  you get more options with a paid subscription? or is that mainly to help out with the fees due for the forum and blog? Which I certainly  think is worthwhile supporting.

Oh Grasshopper you see much! But no, so sorry, the paid subscription is for something different. I'm testing something for my big secret, which is actually progressing well, unfortunately it's a ton of work for me, But it should be really cool.

I have 15 more minutes to read and make comments and then off to bed - will have to see what this big surprise is!!!!  Let's see who was it that said they know, wonder what I can bribe them with????

Hey, I was wondering, since I've seen that HAF tweets a lot of the members' new items as they're posted here on the forum.  What qualifies items for a tweet from HAF?

No requirements at all, It's just a matter of someone tweeting it. I do a lot of them and we have a few others that help out.

It you see HAFteam that is the Handmade Artists' Forum Etsy Street Team. If you see HAFguild that is the Handmade Artists Forum Artfire Guild.

Right, I caught those.  But on twitter it looks like some are just from "Handmade Forum," so I was wondering if there's some standard, requirement, type of item or whatever.  Just checkin'.  :D
