hello all,

I am new to the site, just started yesterday. I sell on Etsy and in craft shows but this site really caught my eye.

I am trying to get a handle on shipping costs to different regions of the US. Customers in NYC would normally pay 3.95 shipping standard USPS ground, from my location. A different customer say in California would pay 7.95 depending on item weight.

Do I make different shipping profiles for different items? How do more experienced sellers on the site handle this?

I send everything priority to the US, so I price it accordingly in terms of what I know fits in a small flat rate box, medium flat rate, etc.  Each item has to have a shipping profile at this point; the site isn't set up for smart shipping with different prices based on area.
