What’s It All About… Santa???

Here we are only a few weeks before Christmas… what would Santa be doing I have to ask myself… no doubt running around trying to tie up loose ends… finish off last minute requests… wanting to make sure that not a single person is missed or a single wish overlooked… is that what we as members of our given families aspire to… is it about buying something.. made somewhere else.. have we forgotten or lost touch with the concept of something that our very own hands have brought together in love or about supporting our local artists/artisans… I somehow think and feel that giving a gift that I myself have made is thought of as “lesser than” .. in this day and age… the prerequisite is to go out and spend a whole lot of money on ” something ” that is mass produced… will most likely fall apart in relative ease and time… and has no sentimental value whatsoever…

What’s it all about Santa… can you refresh our memories… help us to understand that it is not about “how much” something costs… the real value is in the love … the thought… … it is not about how big or expensive something is… whether it has a tag or brand name… it is about giving with the pureness of our hearts… supporting our own … bringing back the notion that something handmade … be it a belt… hat…scarf… pair of gloves.. piece of jewelry… is a gift of thoughtful, caring on the part of the artisan that spent hours ” creating ” … with the simple love of their hearts.. it is not about how much money one will make in any given sale… or making lots of money for the guys on the board.. it is about the beauty of expressing oneself through the art of creation for others to behold and hopefully treasure… So I say again … what’s it all about Santa?… hugz… Kat … katstreasureshop.etsy.com
