Tunisian Crocheting
THIS MONTH - I learned how to do Tunisian Crocheting and I am so addicted. I decided to make a pillow for myself. Yes, for me. Sorry it is not for sale unless you say pretty please. If you don’t know what it means, here is the Tunisian crochet definition: Tunisian crochet is a needlework technique that borrows elements from both knitting and crochet, creating sort of a fusion of the two techniques.
This is not a quick item but it is very relaxing to do

Wow! I love it! The stitch is so smooth and beautiful. It’s coming out nicely!
Thank you Jenny
That does make for a really pretty weave!
I agree, the stitch/weave is really nice. I also like the colors you’ve chosen, and the very interesting way they intermingle.
Thank you Larissa and Joan. I found it very different then basic crocheting and knitting. Even though a crochet hook is used the result is similar to a knitting weave ..
I love the look of this – absolutely beautiful!
Thank you Sandi
Dora, would love to see more of this art form/technique and of course the pillow when you finsih it! Pretty please
Hi Kris,
Since you said pretty please. I was searching for a pillow pattern and found an article on Tunisian Crocheting the design interested me it was different from any crocheting patterns I had seen. so I looked on youtube to see if they had any instructions and here is the link http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tunisian+crochet&aq=1 .. If this site does not work just put in Tunisian Crochet in the search. Like I mentioned it is very relaxing to do. I will post a picture when I am done with the pillow. I purchased the hook in AC Moore I think Michaels has it as well.
