Take the “Ten-Second” Challenge at GrandpaToys’ Shop

At GrandpaToys, we take “Ceramic-Induced Smiles” pretty seriously.  So, here’s the challenge: Check out my Finger Faces and Mezuzahs.  If you don’t crack a smile in the first ten seconds, you probably won’t need another ten seconds.

So, once you’ve smiled at their silliness, what does one DO with a Finger Face?

I used my first Finger Face to distract my 10-month old grandson while feeding him.

Feel like giving someone — anyone — EVERYONE — a finger? Make it your pointer finger and pop a Finger Face on top. Don’t just show people a dirty fingernail. Make a statement! And, make a different statement with whatever Finger Face you choose.

Let others know what you’re thinking without having to say a word! Pick the Finger Face which best matches your mood.

One woman ordered two custom Finger Faces resembling herself; she gave them as gifts to far off friends so she’d always be “near at hand”.

Each one-of-a-kind Finger Face includes a card telling you his (or her) name and a little something about him (or her).  Don’t think the name and story suits him?  Do what I do:  Pop him onto your finger and just stare at him until he tells you his name.  Unless I’m the ONLY one they talk to…

One commonly finds a mezuzah holding a specific prayer attached to the right side, exterior (and interior) doorframes of Jewish homes.

As with my Finger Faces, several of my mezuzahs reflect my somewhat offbeat sense of humor. I like to think that, as long as the prayer is there, God has a sense of humor about the case which holds it.

For example, I don’t know about you, but I saw Cecil B. DeMille’s epic “The Ten Commandments” for the first time when I was a kid. It made a BIG impact on me. When I created this particular mezuzah, I wanted an instantly recognizable “heavenly messenger” to hold the prayer.

    Thanks for your time…
