Sea Glass Jewelry from Spirit of the Sea

Hi…I’m Dianne McLaughlin and I am a sea glass addict. I’ve collected sea glass for almost 30 years.
At first I just picked it up on the Jersey shore as I strolled along enjoying my visit to the beach. Then about 25 years ago we bought a cottage on Maryland’s Eastern shore and I found so much more–and better!! I had it in vases and jars in every window of the cottage! The addiction grew and I found myself on beaches anywhere I could get to them–any time of year–even in the rain and the snow!! The family just shakes their heads and looks at me in pity..but I don’t care! Its all about the glass!!

I had found so much beach glass that it reached the point that I have to share it–or stop collecting (NOT!!) ….so Spirit of the Sea was born. I have been a beader and bead collector for over thirty years so I adapted some beading techniques and began to create jewelry from my precious finds. I make Sea Glass Jewelry using only natural, as found sea glass. The end result is ecologically sensitive wearable art.

My designs range from simple unadorned sea glass for the purist to elaborate wrapped and woven pieces for the Sea Glass Fashionista!! My glass comes mostly from the East Coast, Bermuda, Puerto Rico and the Carribean.
