Rebeca Mojica Blue Buddha Boutique
Rebeca Mojica | Blue Buddha Boutique
Rebeca Mojica (owner & founder of Blue Buddha Boutique) is an author, instructor and award-winning chainmaille artist. She is a contributing editor to Step by Step Wire Jewelry magazine and the author of an instructional jewelry book, Chained, (North Light Books, 2010).
She first began making maille in 2002 when she wanted to purchase a chainmaille belt, but couldn’t find any designs that she really liked. So she literally took matters into her own hands by
buying some jump rings and making a belt on her own, thus awakening her passion. Today she knows more than 100 weaves, including more than a dozen of her own creation, and has a
diverse portfolio of both upscale and accessible jewelry.
When she is not weaving maille or running the business, Rebeca enjoys cooking, listening to ^A^erosmith, working out, and contemplating quantum physics and fractal cosmology.
About Blue Buddha Boutique
Blue Buddha Boutique (aka B3) is all about showing folks how to create their own chainmaille jewelry. Using modernized versions of the same techniques used in medieval times, the company has produced more than 100 project tutorials that transform simple metal jump rings into amazing jewelry. It might look tricky (and sometimes it can be) but we know ANYONE can learn to create it and enjoy how zen and rewarding this craft can be.
Rebeca, along with the team at B3, look forward to sharing project ideas, tips for running a crafty business, chainmaille techniques and more here on Handmade Artists Forum.
