Purple Rose

Purple Rose, what a beautiful flower as well as the name of a wonderful artist that has found her passion in beads and clay!  Lynda is a creative mother of four grown children who lived every artistic mother’s dream…taking over the kids rooms after they move out and filling them with craft supplies! 

Lynda found her talent a bit later in life.  She admits that she was not a creative child but enjoyed trying various things.  Her mother made an attempt to teach Lynda to crochet, and in her words, “total disaster!”  Lynda has also played with cross-stitch, ceramics, painting and sewing.  It wasn’t until she got her hands into beads that she found her niche which led to a growing business. 

For the past 10 years Lynda has been living her creativity through beads.  She began with a book and the supplies to make a pair of earrings and was hooked, or in her words, obsessed.  Now, everything from bead embroidery, peyote stitch, and spiral ropes are turned into unique art in her hands. 

As time went along, Lynda realized that she has more necklaces than she could possibly wear and the world began getting the benefit of her selling her work.  She mostly sells at artisan’s markets and art shows where people love to touch of feel the texture of her creations as well as at her boutique inIdaho Falls,Idaho called Purple Rose.

 Lynda is not all work and no play.  She loves to spend time with her kids and granddaughters as well as drive her Mustang (gotta love a grandma that drives a Mustang!) spending time outdoors with nature, coffee, and raising African Violets…at one time over 500 of them!
