Though the total size is 30×60, when hung with an inch or more between the canvases the total width is 62 to 66 inches.

The quartz-like nature of “Sequences”  uses beige, off-whites and greens to create a vision of delicate impermanence.

Meet the Artist

 

Carolyn Finnell is the creator of these beautiful works of art! 

I live in Mandeville, LA with my husband, Terry. Our charming (translation small and closet-less) craftsman style home is just two blocks from the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain. I studied Fine Art at College and spent many years as a graphic designer/art director/illustrator, working in advertising and winning a few Addy Awards. I always intended to explore painting “one of these days”. After experiencing the wrath of Hurricane Katrina first-hand I began to wonder why I was waiting.

I now spend much of my life in my studio expressing the surprising beauty I find in the “everyday”. Creating art is a life affirming experience.
