Handmade for Johnny Appleseed Day
Did you know that September 26th is officially Johnny Appleseed Day? John Chapman, AKA Johnny Appleseed, was born on September 26, 1774 and was a nurseryman who began planting trees in western New York and Pennsylvania and later on towards the west to Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. He was a deeply religious man known to preach during his travels, planting apple trees and selling them to settlers…and with every tree he planted the legend grew.
In honor of this traveling tree planter, I present to you a few handmade treasures from the talented artists on HandmadeArtists!
