Featured Artist – JML Art

I realized I had somewhat of an artistic talent when I was in elementary school. I always dreamed of going to art school but was terrified of the term ‘starving artist’. So I opted to go to college and study business.
Even though I wasn’t ‘following my dream’ having a background in business certainly helped me in the long run.

After college I worked a variety of jobs, got married, had my first child and became a stay at home mom. Three kids and 5 years later it was time to go back to work. But I was determined to figure out a way to work from home. I got on the net, learned how to set up a website and started creating. After lots of blood, sweat, tears, tantrums and thoughts of quitting and getting a ‘real job’ things started paying off. Years later I’m able to support my family while my husband works at building his own business.

I LOVE what I do. My kids are now 15, 13 and 11 and I am happy beyond
words that I’ve been able to work from home. It’s not easy and many people
might not choose this lifestyle, but it works for our family.
