Featured Artist – Celtic Crossing
I was really excited when I found out that I was going to get to do the feature on Celtic Crossing. As some of you may know already, some of the artist features are written by the artist, and some are written by one of the editors. In this case, I get to do the writing! So, why am I excited to be doing the feature on Celtic Crossing? For several reasons: 1. I am a big fan of celtic designs, celtic ideas, and the heritage. 2. Arien, creator of Celtic Crossing was kind enough to share her Irridescent Witch Ball (see picture below) with me when I was trying to resolve a problem with one of my ornaments.
Arien has done some gem cutting in the past and enjoys working with gemstones. She knows about the properties of the stones and what they are benefial for, and includes this in most of her listings for her jewelry. Arien is also a Reiki Master and infuses each piece of jewellry with postive energy before it leaves her hands to be received by you. We can all benefit from a little extra positive energy these days!
Arien is not only a member of the etsy Bead Team, she is also a member of the EarthPath Artisans Street Team; which is a team of people who walk similar alternative spiritual paths, who focus their beliefe in the world of Nature, encompassing different Goddess-based traditions as well as Taoism, Buddhism, and similar paths.
Ariean states that the “Celtic Triquetra” (pictured far right)is said to have many meanings, the most common being the triple goddess or best recognized from the the tv show “Charmed”, t he meaning that I found that means most to me, is that it can bring the wearer strength and stability in whatever they do.” In these troubled econonmic times, I’m sure many of us could use some extra strength and stability!
