My love of chainmaille began while working on my Medieval History degree in London where I spent my spare time wandering around the medieval galleries of various museums there. The chainmaille armour always caught my eye. The intricacy of all those little rings making up a complete garment was simply amazing. I always wondered how they managed to put it all together and I admired not only the craftsmanship involved but the amount of patience it must have taken to complete than kind of work. I just had to try it for myself and I have become completely addicted to it.

I also love fibre and needlefelting is wonderful way of working with fibre that doesn’t involve getting wet and messy. I enjoy making soft sculptures using our own mohair and llama fibre. I am inspired by many different things and I’m very lucky to be living in the middle of the countryside as all around me is an endless source of inspiration. Autumn leaves, stormy clouds, and rain against the glass have all provided ideas in the past. In the case of dragons I find inspiration in stories, medieval manuscripts, Celtic art mixed with an idea of how dragons should have looked. While my little llama pendants are inspired by my own very cute and often funny llamas.
