Featured Artist – Beads On Fire
I have been making lampwork beads for four years. My journey into glass art began simply with a class just to see how the glass beads I was using in my jewelry designs were made. One flicker of the flame and drop of the molten glass onto the mandrel and I was hooked. The fluidity of the molten glass, the challenge of shaping the glass and the endless creative possibilities of glass art is what keeps me coming back each day.
All my beads are made by me, one at a time, in my studio in Galway, New York. All my beads are annealed in a digital controlled kiln for strength and durability. I work mostly with soft glass, coe 104. I use Moretti, Vetrofond, Lauscha, Reichenbach, and Double Helix.
I am a Self Representing Artist (SRA# K66)
