Pink seems to be the signature color for the month of October. One of the two birthstones for October is Pink Tourmaline and it is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Pink Herringbone Bracelet

Gorgeous pink Miyuki Japanese glass beads have been beaded into a bracelet using the heringbone beading technique. Simple but oh so lovely.  Inspired by the vintage beaded bracelets that sat snuggly on the wrist, the herringbone method gives the bracelet a strong structure  The pink colour is simply gorgeous.

Hand Painted Vintage Metal Tray Birds Roses

This vintage metal tray is one of a set that I found a few years ago. Although I didn’t care for the pattern on the trays, I knew they would be the perfect canvas for some hand painted flowers. This one, I have painted the background a crisp shabby white with a bright pink around the outer rim. In the center, I’ve painted cottage pink roses with a sweet baby bird sitting on top.
