Dates to remember – for 2013

One thing I have always had trouble with in having an on-line shop is planning ahead. But that is the name of the game, so I thought I would share important dates for the coming year so we can all have a successful 2013. First up, birthdays…everyone has them whether we like it or not, so listing handmade gemstonesitems in your shop to celebrate birthdays is a good idea.  And if you make jewelry, birthstones are doubly important.  So here is a list of birthstones by month…I found this list on the website AmericanGemSociety.org, and they also have the history of the gems, great for your item descriptions.   Now for the rest of the year…by month…

February 14th – Valentines Day, March 31st – Easter Sunday, May 12th – Mother’s day, May 27th – Memorial Day, June 14th – Flag Day, June 16th – Father’s Day, July 4th – Independence Day, September 2nd – Labor Day, September 8th – Grandparents Day, October 14th – Columbus Day, October 31st – Halloween, November 11th – Veterans Day, November 28th – Thanksgiving, December 25th – Christmas, December 31st – New Years Eve.

Now these are only American holidays…so if you’re based outside the USA, comment below and let us know what you celebrate.  And here’s to a prosperous 2013 for all of us!
