Creating Mosaics with My European Touch

Handmade Mosaic MirrorHi there, most of you know me, but for the “newbees” my name is Monika of Myeuropeantouch and I am in a real funk. Because of my newly surroundings ~ well, for a year now – from a large house to a small Apartment Condo I am now restricted “because of less room and being able to close the door and leave it” of creating my handmade Mosaic Creations. For 9 years I have created these beauties and shipped all over the world.
My work also made the landfills smaller, as I used already damaged china plates, which people discard, furniture and other pieces, substrates people set on the curb
to be discarded.
The room to be messy in is just not here anymore and so my favorite past time,
creating Mosaics from cut up china plate mosaic rims and stained glass, messing with water, grout and sealer, is just not available here.
I also have 8 paws who are running around and could step into the splinters of broken glass, creating mosaic’s in my now smaller quarters.
My KittiesI am multi talented and thank my creator for that, I just cant make up my mind on a new major,
you know like in college. (smile) On some creations, the market is already saturated, some other creations are only seasonal, what to do,
what to do? For me it’s a real dilemma! I just cant decide, especially since I enjoyed creating Mosaics so much and it sure is a different,
special and One of a kind creation by an Artisan like me. It kind of saddens me that I have to give it up.
Handmade Mosaic TableI will take a break over the coming Holidays and muddle all this over in my creative
mind. Hopefully I will come up with something I can create which I will enjoy as much, will be as special and will sell.
Wouldn’t that be wonderful. Til next time….
